COLONIE- Wendy Horton Mitchell, 62, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023, peacefully in her sleep.
The daughter of the late Barbara and Donald Horton. Wendy was known for her passion for baking and cooking and no one left the house unhappy or hungry. She was equally passionate about her friends and family. The favorite part of her day was waking up to the family snapchats and seeing everyone's pictures. She was fiercely proud of her family, never missing an opportunity to brag about their accomplishments or let them know how much she loved them.
She leaves behind her daughter, Megan (Adam) Seyboth; sisters, Deborah Legge, Patti (David) Kellerman, Judy (Michael) Ooms; several beloved nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Wendy was the matriarch of her family. She was the first call you would make when you needed help, needed advice, or just a laugh. While her family is absolutely heartbroken with her loss, her memory will live on through them everyday.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22nd from 10am-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY, with a service to follow at 12PM. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Wendy's name to Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
