Weronika Mazur

COLONIE, NY – Weronika Mazur, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Franciszek and Marianna Stolarz. Weronika came to the United States in 1979. She worked for SUNY Albany for eighteen years. Weronika enjoyed traveling and gardening and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She is the devoted mother of Janina Paszkowski of Colonie, Henry (Beata) Mazur of Colonie, Teresa (Stanislaw) Zaorski of Poland, Alina (Roman) Mikula of Colonie and Lucyna (Larry) Barry of Delanson. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren from both the USA and Poland. Weronika was predeceased by her husband Ludwik Mazur, her twin sons Jan and Josef, her granddaughter Sylvia Mikula and her great-grandson Stas Korzeb.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 8:15 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Clare's Church at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
