SCHENECTADY, NY – Wilfred F. "Bill" Trombley Jr., 64, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, surrounded by his loving family, after a ten year battle. Born in Plattsburgh, NY he was the son of the late Wilfred F. Trombley, Sr. and Theresa Corron. He lived in Schenectady for most of his life. Bill was a printer, working first for Schenectady Herald Printing Company before running his own business. He later worked for State Color Printing and then went to New York State Office of General Services from where he retired. Bill was an avid bowler and golfer. His favorite pastime was playing free cell solitaire on his laptop. Bill is the beloved husband of ten years to Jaquie Bond. He is the father of Charles (Brenda) Trombley of Scotia, Rhonda Lamoree of Massachusetts and Cassondra (Eric) Brudzienski of Schenectady. Bill is the loving brother of Linda (Bernie) Blanchard, Larry (Laura) Trombley, Irene (Rick) Adams, Dorothy (Carl) Cernigila, Dennis (Denise) Trombley, Victor (Joan) Trombley, Brien (Sean) Trombley, Tammi (the late Quintin) Jones and Dale Trombley. He is the grandfather of Kristopher, Crystal , Denial and Michael. Also surviving is his step-father, Clayton Adams, four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Bill was predeceased by his faithful canine companions, MiMi and Buddy.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Bill Trombley Boulevard Jr. Bowling Fund c/o the funeral home or the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302 in memory of Wilfred F.
