Albany – Willard "Bill" Weis, 75, died Wednesday April 2, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Willard was born in Albany at Brady Maternity Hospital December 30, 1932, the son of the late Willard and Anna Weis. He was a lifelong capital district area resident. Bill was a veteran of the US Navy, having proudly served on active duty and in the reserves. He worked for the South Colonie School District for many years and retired in the early 1990's. Bill always had a wonderful vegetable garden at the house and also loved to cook, his soups being some of the family's favorite.
Bill is survived by his wife Lucy, whom he married July 22, 1961, his children; Kathleen Bessette (John) and Kenneth Weis ( J. Louise Broyles), his grandchildren; Cory, Geno, Douglas, Tiffany, Balthazar and Kaleb and his great-grandson Jayekob. His was predeceased by his sister Joan Whalen.

Funeral service will be held 11:00am Saturday April 5, 2008 at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 to 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Memory's Garden. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Salvation Army in his memory.
