William Roger Barnes passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. He is survived by his son, Thomas Scott Barnes (Sheila), four grandchildren, a brother Philip Allen Barnes (Connie) and a sister, Sylvia Margaret Buchanan (James). He is also survived by four nieces, one nephew, three grandnieces and three grandnephews.
He was born in Schenectady, New York. He graduated from Colonie Central High School and Sienna College and worked for the State of New York for many years. Roger will always be remembered for his love of computers and modern gadgets as well as music and reading.
There will be a grave site service at the Zion Luther Church Cemetery in Schenectady at 1808 Albany Street on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
