William L. Boyce, Sr.

Troy - William L. Boyce, Sr., 90, passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on Sunday, December 19, 2021. William was the son of the late Wincent L. Kolassa and Beatrice Kolassa. Predeceased by late wife Ella May Boyce.
William is survived by his sons, William Boyce Jr. and Steven Boyce; his daughter, Brenda E. Powell and his grandson Christopher S. Powell. He is also survived by his wife of eighteen years, Isabel (Hernandez) Boyce and all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, all of whom loved Bill and will miss him immensely.
Bill was a devoted husband with a passion for knowledge, art and his books. As a graduate of Siena College, he was able to share his love of knowledge with 30 years of service as a science professor at Guilderland's Farnsworth Middle School. He also honorably served his country as a Marine in the first engineer company.
Services will be held privately by the family.
