ALBANY – William Burnell Wilson, Jr., 64, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany.
Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late William Burnell Wilson Sr. and Jessie M. Wallace Wilson. He served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He was a manager of house keeping at Albany Medical Center for 15 years, before retiring in 2003; prior to that he was a dispatcher at Greyhound for ten years. He enjoyed reading, writing, telling stories and spending time with family.
William is survived by his daughters, Monica L. Wilson, Cecily L. Wilson and Lee S. Wilson; his sisters, Mary Wilson Byrom, Viola Haizlip and Patricia Haizlip; his brother, Joseph L. Wilson; his former spouse and dear friend, Veda L. Wilson; his granddaughter, Jayla N. Wilson Alphonso and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
