William "Buck" Criscone, 75, of Rotterdam/Altamont, passed away at home on March 4th, 2023.
He was born in Albany to the late Sylvester and Virginia Criscone. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his twin brother, Sylvester, all of whom welcomed him with open arms upon his passing.
World renowned for his sense of humor, dance moves, the fear he instilled in all deer and fish in the Capital Region, and his willingness to do absolutely anything and everything to help those he loved, Bill will be immensely missed and fondly remembered.
Bill never gave up on single handedly keeping the NYS lottery and local casinos in business and hoping that Cher would one day realize they were soulmates. Bill was a retired employee of Owens Corning Fiberglass in Delmar, where he quickly became known for being a hard and determined worker, which he carried with him throughout his life in all that he did.
Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years, MaryLou, who was the love of his life and inseparable partner by his side for everything that life brought their way. He is also survived by his three daughters Theresa (Rich Regels), Janet (Grandson Jonathan), and Amber (Tomi Dapshi), and his two sisters, Virginia and Nina (Tom Schillinger), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless near and dear friends including those at the Altamont American Legion, Rotterdam Eagles, and Altamont VFW.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday, March 11th at 1pm at the American Legion in Altamont, NY, as Altamont was a place near and dear to his heart. Please join us to share memories, stories, and laughs about the long and rich life he led and the amazing people by his side throughout.
