William E. Foster, Sr.
July 21, 1943 — August 5, 2014
William E. Foster, Sr., 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Ellis Hospital with his family by his side. William was born in Albany to the late Raymond and Alice (LaTulip) Foster.
In addition to his parents William was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Foster, his sister Agnes Hatala.
William proudly served with the United States Army.
He was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing pool, shuffle board and playing poker. He loved to travel and spending time with his family.
William is survived by his children; Tammy (Preston) Salisbury, William (Liz) Foster, Jr., Tracy (Kevin Staley) Salisbury , Tonya (David) Vermette. He is the brother of Raymond Foster, Richard Foster and Ralph Foster. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the entire staff with Ellis Hospital ICU #2, for all of their care and compassion given to William.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 9:00 am at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1235 State Street, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Inurnment will follow the Mass at Vale Cemetery.
