Schenectady – William N. Evans, 90, passed away on Thursday November 28, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Oneonta, he is the son of the late Charles and Emily Evans.
William was employed by Rowland J. Down as a Heating and Cooling Technician for more than 20 years before retiring in 1988. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and tending to his garden.
William is survived by his wife of 38 years Barbara Evans, his children; Dale (Don) Van Steele, Joyce (Al) Marie, William Evans Jr., and Anne Marie Van Eps. He is also survived by his grandchildren Curtis, Candace, Michelle, Danielle, Mandy, his great-grandchildren; Jonathan, Christopher, Nathan, and Hannah. William was predeceased by his wife Marie Snyder Evans, and his brothers Charles, Elmer, and Frank.
A memorial service for William will be held Monday December 2nd at 6 p.m. at Trinity Reformed Church, 705 Curry Rd. Schenectady 12306.
