William G. Hutchinson

February 19, 1934 — August 21, 2013

NISKAYUNA - William G. Hutchinson (Bill), 79, of Niskayuna, entered into life everlasting on August 21, 2013 at Ellis Hospital.
He was born on February 19, 1934 in Clarksburg, West Virginia the son and only child of William G. Hutchinson Sr. and Violet (Phillips) Hutchinson.
He graduated from Washington Irving High School in Clarksburg in 1952. He joined the Army the following year and served during the time of the Occupation of Germany for 3 years. During that time he served as a Sergeant and combat intelligence specialist with the 4th Infantry Division 40th Tank Battalion and was stationed at Friedburg, Hesse and Oberammergau.


He graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY in 1960. After graduation he was employed by Sears, Roebuck & Co. as an executive accountant for 35 years in several States ranging from New York to Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and Georgia.


In 1959 he married Enid (Raine) his wife of 54 years at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Buffalo N.Y. Bill and Enid were blessed with births of three sons, Christopher (Sandra) of Glenville, Ian David of Scotia, and the late William Neil who pre-deceased him in 1999. There are four grandchildren, Philip, Steven, Matthew, and Bethany and a great grandson, Brody Neil. Cousin Janet Norris in Palmyra, VA and many other cousins and friends in Clarksburg, WV,
Bill was an avid reader of history, a lover of classical music and delighted in swing bands. He had a beautiful baritone voice. He enjoyed summer vacations at the family cottage in Bristol, WV and holidays in England.

Inurnment will be at a later date at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Road, Niskayuna, NY.
