LOUDONVILLE- William F. Goodwin died on January 17, 2007. He arrived on this earth in Albany on February 22, 1917. Bill was predeceased by his mother, Grace Violet Clark and his father William Henry Goodwin.
He was an Eagle Scout and attended the Boy Scout Jamboree in Washington DC in 1935. Bill attended both Siena College and the State University at Albany. He served three years in the Army Air Force during WWII as an expert in Loran and Radio communication. He was a violinist in the Albany Symphony Orchestra. Bill was employed for 34 years by New York State, primarily in the Department of Mental Hygiene.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anne Goodwin; his daughter Gay Ellen; his sons, William David, Stephen Eugene and Peter Morgan; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his only cousin, Gilbert Orzell Drake.
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment with full military honors are taking place at Gerald B.H. Solomon National Veterans Cemetery in Schuylerville. Expressions of sympathy may be made to newcomerfamily.com
