COHOES, NY – William (Bill, Grampy) Henry Bischoff, was reunited with his beloved wife Helen on Saturday, July 26, 2008, after a life full of love and laughter. Born on August 2, 1912 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Albert and Ida Bischoff, Grampy married Helen Barbara Meyerhoefer on October 21, 1933. He went on to a successful career as an Auditor/Bank Officer with Flushing Savings Bank, retiring in 1981. He was an avid fisherman and pool player, and his terms of endearment for his family always referenced food. Carrying on Grampy's legacy are his devoted granddaughter Deborah Marie (MacKewice) Marino, her husband Michael, and beloved great-granddaughter, "Little Chicken" Jaedan Helena Marino all of Cohoes; his loving grandsons, Michael Richard and Scott Robert MacKewice of St. Petersburg, FL and Nyack, NY, his cherished daughter, Barbara Helen Brown of Chattanooga, TN and many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Helen Barbara, brother Albert Bischoff, and sister Mabel Koltz. Deborah and Michael would like to express their gratitude for the love and support of their family, as well as their dearest friends, Bill and Tasha Hubicki. They also would like to thank the staff at Craneville Place of Dalton, MA, especially Linda and David, for their tender care over the past months.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
