Albany – William Henry Izard, Jr, 63, passed away Wednesday September 17, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn.
"Henry" was born in Manhattan the son of the late William and Julia (Peterson) Izard, Sr. He served in the US Army, worked as a plumber with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #7 and owned and operated Afro-American Plumbing and Heating for ten years. Henry retired this year due to illness. He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #7 and the Light of the World Christian Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife Peggy (Timmons) Izard, his loving children; Ire (Tobias) Williams of Albany and William Izard, III of Albany, step-children; Robyn (Duncan) Haley, Niskayuna, NY April (Lionel) Victor, Deer Park, Long Island and Robert McCann, Delmar, NY eight cherished grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday September 20, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Light of the World Christian Church, 28 Sparrowbush Rd., Latham.
