WILTON - William "Bud" Harwood, 63, of Gansevoort died suddenly on July 15, 2008 at his residence.
He was born in Schenectady on July 29, 1944, son of the late Eleanor Homic Harwood and William Nelson Harwood. Bud was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Bud worked for General Electric as a Shop Steward and then as a driver for United Parcel Service, before retiring.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Harwood. Mr. Harwood is survived by his loving son Jeffrey (Lori) Harwood of Ballston Lake. He was the proud Grandfather ("Grumpa") of Lindsey Rose. He is also survived by his brother Richard (Debbie) Harwood of Rotterdam, cousin Terri (Suzanne) Jandreau of Pattersonville, sister-in-law Kathy (Doug) Grabo of Rotterdam; his niece Lorinda (Wayne) Richardson of Altamont, and his nephew Mark Grabo of Rotterdam. He is also survived by his great nieces Jennifer Richardson and Danica Grabo and great nephew Ian Richardson and his dear friends Terry (Kathy) Schrome, Gordon Katz, Connie Plummer, Holly Hudson, Wayne Rush and Daniel (Shawn) Altheiser. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday August 3, 2008 at NewComer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A Service in celebration of Bud's life will be followed at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden.
