ALBANY-William "Bill" White, 83, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.
Bill was born in Albany, NY to the late Willie and Martha White on March 22, 1932. After he graduated high school Bill served his country in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. After his service he began to work for Wilkies Laundry and then went on to work at Child's Hospital. Bill was a hard worker all his life. He was a lifelong Yankee and Giants fan. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Bill is predeceased by his sister.
He is survived by his loving children; Regina White-Copland, and William Eric White, his beloved partner; Julia Osterhout, his step-children; Linda and Frank Osterhout, his ten cherished grandchildren, and his great-grandchild; Kevin.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 9:00am-10:30am. Burial will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery immediately following.
