COLONIE – William John Pendelton, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Born in Hudson, NY on July 4, 1944, he was the son of the late Lucy and John Pendelton. Bill served nine years in the United States Army Green Barat/Airborne. He served two tours in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and many medals of honor. Bill was a lover of music and worked as a D.J. in the Albany area for many years. He also worked for Time Warner (Capital Cablevision) for fifteen years before working for New York State Dept. of Civil Service from where he retired in 2011.
Bill is the beloved husband of thirty-one years to Carol Pendelton. He is the devoted father of Erica Pendelton of Colonie, Tanya Pendelton of Schenectady, Nathaniel Pendelton of Albany and William Pendelton, Jr. of Saratoga. Bill is the loving brother of John Pendelton of Long Island, NY. He is the cherished grandfather of Kashiem, Niasia, Kaylon, Dayvone, Kalona, Elise and Waliek. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren and several dear cousins and friends also to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Church of Christ, 30 Russell Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
