William J. Kissane

COLONIE – William J. "Bing" Kissane, 87, a longtime resident of Colonie, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023.
"Bing" as he was known by his friends and family, was born in Albany on October 20, 1935. He was a son of the late James Edward and Marion L. (Adams) Kissane and graduated from Christian Brothers Academy.
Bing was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. Following the military, he worked for many years at Tobin Packing Company until his retirement.
He was a loving and devoted brother, uncle and great uncle who enjoyed being with his family.
Bing is predeceased by a brother James Kissane.
He is survived by a brother, Kevin (Jean) Kissane; two nephews, Kevin (Catherine) and Brian (Dawn) and a niece, Kerry (Bruce) Norman; great nephews and nieces, Kayla Norman, PJ, Kellan, Mary, Luke and Liam Kissane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Latham, NY. An hour of visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the church. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Miracle League, 10 McDonald Lane, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
