Guilderland – William L. Aumic, Sr., 78, passed away Thursday October 2, 2008.
William was born in Colonie the son of the late Earle and Mildred (Lockrow) Aumic. He had called Guilderland home for many years and he earned his degree in business at the State University of New York. Mr. Aumic spent many years as a teacher, stockbroker and a bureaucrat with the State of New York. He was an author and had taught accounting at Hudson Valley Community College for more than 20 years. William enjoyed golfing, swimming and weight lifting. He was predeceased by his wife Janet Aumic.
Mr. Aumic is survived by his children; Cathleen M. Aumic, Margaret J. Aumic and William L. Aumic, Jr. and his grandsons David and Matthew Loftus.
The funeral service will be 12 noon Monday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Interment will be at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
