Ballston Spa -- William Michael Oliva passed away at home on July 12, 2011 after a five year battle with lung cancer. Billy was born November 18, 1942 to Anna and William Oliva Sr. in Newark, New Jersey. Billy served in the Army Reserves for 6 years, went to Cosmetology school and became a very successful hairdresser and owner of Hairpower Salon in Fort Lee, New Jersey. After meeting Susan Cunningham he relocated to Upstate NY where he enjoyed outdoor hobbies such as fishing and hunting. He had a dry sense of humor and loved to joke around.
Billy is survived by his wife of 20 yrs Susan; their two daughters, Jenna and Kiera; 2 children from a previous marriage, son Greg and his wife Lauren, daughter Dana and her husband Nick Brown; grandchildren, Jack and Lucas; brother, John Oliva and his partner Henry Kearney; mother-in-law, Vinnie Cunningham; late father-in-law Duane Cunningham; brother-in-laws, Gary, Andy, Daniel; sister in-laws, Amy and Grace; nieces and nephews Angela, Keith, Sean, and Ryan.
