ALBANY - William C. Parks (Bill) passed away peacefully on Dec. 25th, 2020 in his hometown of Albany, NY after a period of declining health.
"Parksy" as he was known to his friends and family, was born on November 19, 1943 in Albany to Charles and Margaret, he was the youngest of three siblings.
Bill is survived by his son Steven, daughter-in law Kara and grandson Cameron, his two sisters Arliene and Mary Ann, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bill grew up in Albany and after several years of service in the US Army stationed in Germany, he moved back home in 1971 to raise a family and begin his over 30 year career as a brakeman with the D&H Railroad, in which he retired from in 2003.
Bill was a quiet man, preferring to keep mostly to himself and his close friends over the past years. He loved cats and watching the thoroughbred horses run. He was a kind man who will be missed by those who got the chance to know him.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
