William Parsons

William Parsons Sr., 63, passed away on Sunday May 28, 2017, surrounded by his family after a long struggle with heart failure. He was born on November 24, 1953 in Jersey City, NJ as the oldest child to Joseph and Claire Parsons (nee Roggendorf).


Early in his childhood his family moved to Schoharie, NY where he was raised on the family farm with his three siblings. Early in his adult life he worked in a butcher shop, several trucking companies and nearly 10 years as a Tractor Trailer Driver for Hess. Wiliam was known for his love of food, sappy movies, football and his use of every four-letter word he could possibly have said in one sentence... although he will be remembered for the latter the most. He particularly enjoyed building his dream home in the 90's... every one of his children had a power-tool in their hands and helped while free child labor wasn't an issue and considered child abuse.


He has been married to his amazing wife and best friend Loretta Parsons (nee LaPlante) for nearly 45 years. They had three children, however he always joked that he "married a woman with children" so Loretta M. Catalano, Claire M. Keene (Shawn) and William Parsons Jr. were the Milk Man, Paper Man and Mail Man's children...apparently. William has 6 grandchildren. Five grandsons Zachary Grant, Stephen Catalano, Liam Parsons, Shane Keene, Kian Parsons and one Grandaughter Charli Claire Keene. Willam is also survived by his 3 siblings, Joseph Parsons (Sandy), Catherine "Katie" Parsons and Marie Bini (John) and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Claire Parsons.


Funeral services will be privately held.
