COLONIE – William D. Rathbun, Jr., 56, of Colonie, passed away uxexpectedly at his home on Sunday, October 17, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Albany on September 21, 1965 a son of William D. and Patricia I. (Coughtry) Rathbun, Sr. and attended Colonie High School.
Bill drove and delivered appliances for many years at Marcella's Appliance since the age of 16. He was also the Dept. Manager for the detail shop at various dealerships in the Albany area for a number of years.
Bill enjoyed fishing; regardless of the time of year, golf, NASCAR, the Yankees, Cowboys and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his longtime fiance of 22 years, Paula Moore; his mother, Patricia; his children, William D. (Devon) Clark and Savannah (Michael) Ireland; a proud Papa to his grandson, Grayson Clark; his sister, Kim (Tony) Nantista and several step nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 11 am to 1pm with a celebration of Bill's life to follow immediately at 1pm on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Online condolences may be expressed at www.NewComerAlbany.com.
