ALBANY- William S. Harlow, Jr., 44, of Albany, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 20, 2011.
Bill was born in Brooklyn, NY, graduated from Albany High School and earned his Bachelors Degree from Siena College. Bill was employed by GMAC Insurance Company for 17 years through multiple acquisitions. Most recently, he was the Regional Claims Manager, North Division. Bill was a black belt in karate and loved to stay fit. He recently trained for and completed the Tough Mudder in Mt. Snow, Vermont. Bill was a gentle soul, kind, loving, loyal and hysterically funny. He traveled the world and left his mark everywhere. Bill treasured his family and friends and loved to share his wisdom and make others laugh. He was adored by so many and will be forever loved.
Bill is the beloved son of William S. and Eithne T. Fahy Harlow. He is the cherished brother of Ann Marie (Randy) Tallman, Mary Elizabeth Harlow and Denis J. Harlow. Bill is the loving uncle of Ashley, Killian, Mason and Duncan Tallman; Alaynah, Charlotte and Denis Harlow. He is the dear friend of Amy Buckley Harlow and Jimmy Kelly. Bill is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins in England and Ireland.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 at St. Gabriel's Church, Rotterdam. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. In keeping with Bill's compassion and genuine care for others, memorial contributions are suggested to the Center for the Disabled, 314 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
