William Schubert

COLONIE – William J. Schubert, Sr., 64, of Colonie, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late William and Ethel Schubert. Mr. Schubert was a Colonie resident for over 45 years. He worked for 42 years with ANJO Construction in Latham until his illness. Bill is the beloved husband of 45 years to Emily D. Cocchi Schubert. He is the devoted father of William Schubert, Jr. of Colonie, Robert (Karen) Schubert of Clifton Park, John (Kathy) Schubert of Delmar and Brian Schubert and Joseph Schubert, both of Colonie. He is the cherished grandfather of Nicole, Amanda, Christian and Arionna Schubert. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Helen D. Albert of Colonie and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Norma (Don) Johnson, son-in-law of the late Mariano and Grace Cocchi and brother-in-law of the late Mary (Anthony) Scaringe and John (Mary) Cocchi. Bill's family would like to thank John P. Vellano for all of his support during this difficult time, as well as the staff of Community Hospice of Albany for the care given to him during his illness.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt.1 55 – south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of William J. Schubert, Sr.
