William Schwartz

ALBANY – William Schwartz, 93, formerly of Albany, passed away suddenly on Wednesday July 31, 2013 at the Masonic Care Community in Utica, NY . He was born in Bronx, NY and was the son of the late David and Rose Adams Schwartz.
Bill served in the US Army during WWII He is retired from the New York State Department of Labor. He was an active member and officer with Bethlehem Masonic Lodge #85. Bill enjoyed playing golf and bowling.
He is predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy Yaguda Schwartz. Bill is the devoted father of Maddy Schwartz and two sons. He is the grandfather to Doreen Schwartz. A niece and three nephews also survive.
Funeral services will begin on Sunday at 1:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a memorial prayer service followed by military honors and concluding with the Masonic Ritual. Interment will follow in Beth Emeth Cemetery, Loudonville. At the request of the family and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Masonic Medical Research Laboratory, 2150 Bleecker Street, Utica, NY 13501 in memory of William Schwartz.
