William Smith Jr.

LATHAM-William H. Smith Jr. died April 15, 2007 after a courageous year long battle with cancer. He was born on September 18, 1948 in Albany and was the son of the late William H. and Edna May Banker Smith Sr.
Bill was retired from the Sheetmetal Workers Local 83. He was a member of the Guilderland Elks. Bill is the devoted husband of 35 years to Deborah Granito Smith. He is the proud father of Erynn Lynn Fogarty and father in law of Scott Christopher Fogarty. Bill is the brother of Lois S. McQuaid and Margaret Lyngard. Brother in law of Paul Lyngard, Sharon & George Habiniak and the late Donald McQuaid. He is the son in law of Anita Granito Scott and the late Pasquale and Patricia Leto Granito. He is the uncle of Tina & Kevin Bottini, Eva Trimboli, Kyle and Anna Maria Habiniak and Jeffrey Habiniak. Great uncle of Christopher, Steven, Andrew and Sarah Bottini, Kyle and Samantha Trimboli and Alessandra Habiniak. He is also survived by longtime family friend, Eileen Duplis (late Bill) of Florida.
Most importantly, Bill is survived by the two most precious gifts of his life; his granddaughter, Mollee Patricia Fogarty and his best friend and canine companion, Shea.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial Services in Celebration of Bill's Life on Saturday April 21, 2007 at 12 noon at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave).
