William "Bill" VanAlstyne, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at his home, with his loving family by his side.
William was the son of the late Ira and Louise VanAlstyne.
William is the devoted husband for over 62 years to Claire E. VanAlstyne.
In addition to his wife, Claire, William is survived by his children; David (Vicki) VanAlstyne, Sr., and Susan (Peter) Pridon.
He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; David Jr., William F. VanAlstyne, Justin and Ashley Pridon; his brother, Paul VanAlstyne; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 5:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any of Steve Cappirizzo Pet Connections charities.
