William J. Wallace, Sr.

Albany- William J. Wallace, Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Wesley Health Care Center.

Born on February 1, 1927 in Albany, a son of the late Emery and Elizabeth Pike Wallace. A lifelong resident of the area, Bill attended local schools until he was drafted into the United States Army; proudly serving his country during WWII from 1945-1946. Once the draft was over, Bill went on to work for Ted's Floor Covering for many years.

Although Bill was a resident of Albany, he was also a part time resident of Schroon Lake since the early 1960's. He loved to go on his boat, ride his snowmobile, camp, hunt and loved his motor home.

Bill was the loving husband of Theresa Konis Wallace, who passed away in 2003. He was the father of William Wallace, Jr. (Carol), Daniel Wallace (Diane), Richard Wallace (Karol) and Mary Theresa Robertson (Stephen); grandfather of Stacey Craig (John), Jason Wallace (Nicole), Carrie Plamondon (Bryan), Krista and Kasey Wallace, Ashlee and Stephen Jr. Robertson; great-grandfather of five, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Emery Wallace and sister, Virginia Wallace.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 1:30pm at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
