William Warren

LAKE KATRINE - The Angels of Heaven gently lifted William "Bill" Warren on December 7, 2012, from the Northeast Center for Special Care, in Lake Katrine, NY, after a long illness. William was born on August 8, 1936 to the late Patsy "Big Mama" Cobb and Sunny Warren in Auburn, Alabama. Bill worked for over 17 years at the Workshop in Menands, NY.

He was predeceased, by his mother, Pasty Cobb and father, Sonny Warren; his sisters, Jongeline Foster, Vivian Warren, Ethel Forte-Williams and Daisy Williams; his brothers, Luther Guice and Robert Cleveland. He leaves behind his sisters, Pearl Cobb-Allen of Albany, Odessa Frazier and Cora Louise Cobb of Auburn, AL and Lois Guice of New Jersey. He leaves as well, a host of nephews, great-nephews, nieces and great-nieces among numerous other relatives. The family sends a very special and warm thank you to the staff of Glens Falls Hospital, Glens Falls, Northeast Center for Special Care, Lake Katrine, NY; and Kingston Hospital, (2West Wing), for the compassionate and professional care you provided during his illness. Delores and Denise, he became a part of your family and the level of compassion that it took from each of you will always be appreciated. Bill's heart expressed a multitude of gratitude to each of you.



Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be held at a later date in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
