William F. Wood

Watervliet- William Francis Wood "Bill", 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Bill was the son of the late James and Marjorie Wood. Bill was the devoted husband to Rori R. Wood. They were married 32 years.

Bill had a fond love of classic cars, drag racing, and spending time with his son at the car shows at Kohl's on Wednesday nights. He also enjoyed war movies, 60's music, and a good hot dog.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Michael J. Wood, Kristy M. Wood, Amy L. Wood, Daniel R. Wood, Kimberly M. Wood; grandchildren, Ryan, Tiernan and Brynn; siblings, George (Paula) Wood, James (Pam) Wood, Lorraine Blanchard and Danielle R. Wood., and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, New York on Tuesday March 30, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday March 31, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Albany Rural Cemetery. Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
