Green Island- William F. Wright, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 with his loving family by his side. William was the son of the late Lawrence and Helen Wright.
After leaving High School, William joined the United States Marine Corps where he received two Purple Hearts and many other medals for his honorable service. William enjoyed spending time with his entire family going fishing, hunting, and listening to Elvis.
William is survived by his daughter, Sherrie A. (Darby Sr.) Wilson; grandchildren, Darby Jr., Brianna, Dashia, and Dylan Wilson; Brothers, James, the late Lawrence, the late Richard; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held privately by the family. Burial will take place at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516
