Williebird (Harvey) Ingram went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 24, 2016.
Williebird was born on March 15, 1939 in Shubuta, Mississippi to her parents, Elijah and Lilly Harvey. She came to Albany at the age of 2 years old. She received her general education diploma from the state of NY and a certificate in computers through CTU. She went on to a career as a Nursing Assistant for a number of years before retiring.
Ms. Ingram loved to garden, watching the WWF and spending time with family. She also liked playing spades, taking pictures and traveling. She loved to dance and sing. Williebird was a part of Albany Housing Authority Choir along with her grandchildren, Lilly, Norric, Stannasha & Stephan. She loved to take her grandchildren to the pool and always had her cooler full of juice and snacks. She was an original member of Wilborn Temple First COGIC and also attended the Greater St. Johns COGIC and New Jerusalem Home of the Saved in Albany.
Williebird was predeceased by her parents, Elijah and Lilly Harvey. Her siblings: Lela Harvey, Willie Floyd Harvey, Shirley Harvey, Grace Harvey, Roy Harvey, Marshall Harvey, Louise Harvey, and Mammie Harvey. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Stanford.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters: Lilly Sabrina Harvey and Nina Sanders of NY; her sons: Tommy Thomas, Anthony Sanders of NY and William Sanders, husband of Darlene Sanders of PA. She also leaves her grandchildren: Startychia Stanford, Shavon Anderson-Stovall, Terrence Thomas, Elijah Thomas, Baishon Sanders, Valoree Sanders, Ebonee Sanders, Lilly Harvey, Norric Maye, William Sanders II, Stannasha Fallen and Stephan Fallen. Her great grands: Mishon Sanders, Aniyah Sanders, Akeem Page, Jr., Zariah George-Sanders, L'Shai Gulley, Josiah Sanders, Ja'Hailee Sanders, Isaiah Sanders, De'Andre Cox, Ezeekiel Flores-Sanders and Myliah Harvey. In addition are very close friends: Margaret Anderson and Ms. Dorothy as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Home going services will be held at Greater St. Johns COGIC, 74 Fourth Avenue, Albany, NY 12202, on Friday, January 6, 2017. Calling hours from 10 to 11am, prior to the services. Interment at Graceland cemetery following the services.
