COLONIE-Wilma L. King, 76, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Evergreen Commons, East Greenbush following an illness. She was born in Albany, NY, the daughter of the late John and Mildred Harbinger. She worked for Albany Public Supermarket and Grand Union. Wilma retired from the Department of State. She was a member of Roessleville Presbyterian Church. Wilma enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family.
Wilma is survived by her beloved children Wallace (Denise) King Jr., Charles (Sandra) King Sr., and Russell (Juliet) King; his cherished grandchildren Jamie, Charles Jr. (Samantha), Kristina, Amber, Samantha and Luke and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Joan Benoit and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was predeceased by her husband Wallace G. King Sr.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Peter's Hospital and Evergreen Commons for their exceptional care.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady
