Albany- Wilmer J. "Willie" Rogers, 80, died on Thursday, December 29, 2005.
Born in Chesire, MA, he was the son of the late Alexander and Bridget Rogers. Wilmer was a veteran of the U.S. army serving his country during WWII, receiving an Honorable Discharge on August 29, 1946. He was a local musician, playing guitar in the area for a number years for various bands. Wilmer is predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Peleski, and Mary Kurtzner; and six brothers, Clifford, Alexander, Gilbert, Francis, William, and Charles Rogers.
Wilmer is survived by his three sons, Wayne, Wilmer, Jr., and Jimmy Rogers, and their mother Nellie. He is also survived by his two sisters, Martha Soloyna and Theresa O'Connor, and his three brothers Buck, Robert and Richard Rogers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
