Albany/Colonie: Winifred E. "Polly" Johnson, 96, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 with her loving daughter by her side. Winifred was born in Greenville, SC, the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Morrow.
Winifred was the devoted wife to the late Wilbur O. (Bill) Johnson and lived most of their married life on Sand Creek Road. They had been married 67 years.
Polly was a long-time member of Loudonville Community Church. Whether it was gardening or cooking or caring for others, she found enjoyment in all she did.
Her kindness and loving spirit were felt by all who knew her.
Polly is survived by her daughter, Patti (Gerry) Dufault of Worcester, MA; three grandchildren, Lindsay Dufault of Massachusetts, Noah Dufault of Rhode Island and Robert Crowley of New Hampshire.
Polly is predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Crowley of Latham.
The family would like to invite friends and family to a graveside service on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10:30am at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Winifred's name to the Mission Fund at the Loudonville Community Church.
