Winifred M. Hennessy

GUILDERLAND, NY – Winifred M. Hennessy, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, with her loving husband by her side. She was born in the Bronx and resided on Long Island and Queens before moving to the Capital District. Winifred is the beloved wife of 38 years to Michael J. Hennessy. She is the sister of Janet and Jack Brennan and their family, Jack, Kelli and Ryan of Voorheesville She is the sister-in-law of Betty Silver and her family of Georgia and Mary and Donald Mahar of New Hyde Park, Long Island and their daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Felix of Plainview, Long Island. Winifred's husband would like to thank the staff of hospice for the loving and tender care of his wife, especially Chaplains' Insook Do and Betsy Ewalt for their kindness and understanding. A special thank you also to the nurse's, tech's and doctor's on the 4th floor for their love and care of Winifred.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave., Guilderland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciate to Our Lady of Hope Residence, 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham, NY 12110 in memory of Winifred M. Hennessy.
