Winifred was a woman, strong in her faith. She was affiliated with the Zion Baptist church of Brooklyn. She began her career working at B. When she then went to work at the Lefferts Garden Montessori School as Director.

Winifred graciously retired in 2008, and later founded The Joyful Beginnings Early Education Program, Inc.(JBEEP) in Upstate, NY, in addition to Artz & More, an after school program in Brooklyn. Throughout Windy's fight with Breast Cancer, she maintained a strong influence on the direction of which (JBEEP) grew. Opening its second location just two years later.

Windy made an impact on all whom she encountered. She was an ongoing force in the field of education. Certified in the Montessori philosophy, she traveled in state and abroad educating the philosophies of Maria Montessori.

Her dearest pastime was spending time with her great group of close friends, Patricia D. Melissa M., Margot M., Tawana F., Monica B., and Gloria J.

She held a special place in her heart for Anthony (Tony) Briggs and Andrea Fennell

Other pastime enjoyments of Windy where singing, dancing, and the occasional sip of Bailey's. Most of which we'd concur happened alongside the fabulous individuals mentioned above.

Windy had a major impact on all of whom she encountered, and aside from those mentioned, touched many within the communities of which she lived. She will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
