Albany - Winsen J. "Win" Marinucci, 74, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 with his loving daughter and son-in-law by his side. Winsen was the son of the late Paschal Marinucci, Sr. and Mary Marinucci. He was the devoted husband to the late Jean A. Marinucci. They were married 39 years.
Win worked for 30+ years for the State of New York in the Comptroller's Office, where he received service awards and loved making his co-workers laugh. When he retired, he enjoyed working for Goodwill Industries of Albany. Win honorably served in the United States Air Force prior to his service in NYS. In his free time, Win was a collector of many things and an avid audiophile. He was an avid music lover with an extensive knowledge of all things music. He was also a great movie lover and collected movies and memorabilia spanning the past century. He had an extraordinary gift for knowledge in the areas of music and film. Win loved spending time with his daughter and son-in-law and pets where they had dinner every Sunday.
Win is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Cory) Marinucci-Berner; and many loving relatives.
Win is predeceased by his brother, Paschal Marinucci, Jr, who passed away one month prior.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 6:00 pm. Masks must be worn both inside and outside the funeral home and social distancing observed.
