Caledonia- Wolfgang "Wolf" Kitzig, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 surrounded by the love of his family in Albany, NY.
Wolf was born in Berlin, Germany on March 11, 1928 to the late Kurt and Gertrud Kitzig. On June 28, 1947 Wolf married the love of his life Anita Kitzig. Together they had one daughter. In 1959 he and his family escaped from East Berlin, and in 1960 they emigrated to the United States where they made Racine, WI their home. Wolf took great pride in his work as an electrician where he was well respected and sought after in his trade. He and his wife were lifetime members of the Deutscher Manner Verein, the Racine German Club.
Wolf is predeceased by his wife, Anita Kitzig.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Gabriela (Gary) August, his grandchildren, Zachary and Sarah August, his sister-in-law, Magrit (Kurt) Kranz, and his niece, Anita Kranz.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Wolf's family would like to thank Dorothy and Jerry Mann, as well as all of the members of the Racine German Club for all the care, compassion, and friendship they had shown to Wolf and Anita.
