SCHENECTADY, NY – Yolanda G. James, 88, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Raffaela D'Ambrosio. She was a Schenectady resident for all of her life. Yolanda was a devout catholic and a longtime member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (formerly Immaculate Conception Church) in Schenectady. She was the beloved wife of the late William C. James. Yolanda is the devoted mother of Bradley W. James of Schenectady. She is the loving sister of Clement D'Ambrosio of Rotterdam, Amelia Dejnozka of Jacksonville, FL, Edward D'Ambrosio of Rotterdam and the late John D'Ambrosio, Sr., Mary Messere, Constance D'Ambrosio, Josephine D'Ambrosio, Elvira Bottisti and Jean Pompillio. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd., Schenectady. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Yolanda G. James.
