ALBANY – Yolanda Robilotto (Campanella), 94, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Yolanda was born and raised in Albany. She was predeceased by her parents Vincent and Mary (Scuderi) Campanella and six older siblings; Rose Campanella, Frank Campanella (Mary), Phyllis Lomonaco (Anthony), Paul Campanella (Hannah), Silvio Campanella, and Joseph (Patricia) Campanella. Yolanda is also predeceased by the two loves of her life; her former husband, Paul Robilotto and her best friend, James O'Connor.
Yolanda was a woman of many talents and careers. Not only was she a master cook, she could put together a party to rival Martha Stewart long before anyone ever heard of Martha Stewart. When Yolanda first entered the workforce after raising her children, she became the first female car salesperson in the Capital District. Opening doors in the all male dominantly driven field. She moved on through careers as a restauranteur, antiques dealer, doll doctor, professional clown, currier for NBC News working at the NYS Capital, amongst others. The list goes on and on. She was also an accomplished painter, artist in all medias, and if she wanted to learn a skill or craft - she learned it well and mastered it.
Yolanda was a lover of animals and never met a dog or cat she could pass by. She had countless animals through the years and leaves behind to mourn her loss, her two dogs Mister Snickers, Tinkerbell and her cat, Poopie. We know without a doubt she is frolicking with all her past animals and all the animals in St. Francis' garden.
Yolanda is also survived by her five children; Anna Robilotto, Linda Sudano (Robert), Lisa Robilotto, Philip Robilotto, and her baby and caregiver, Laura Hegeman. Along with 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Yolanda's life to be held at a later time.
