Yvonne June Jones

East Greenbush- Yvonne June Hussey Jones passed away after a brief illness on January 12, 2024. She was born on November 2, 1939 in Troy, New York to the late Foster R. Hussey Sr. and Marjorie Mae Ormsbee Hussey. She grew up in Poestenkill, New York, and attended Averill Park High School.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents, 9 of her 10 siblings (Foster R. Hussey Jr., Harry L. Hussey, Marjorie P. Graber, Donald W. Hussey Sr., Stanton P. Hussey, Paul R. Hussey Sr., Bruce R. Hussey, Arthur G. Hussey Sr., and Dale Mae Hussey). She is also predeceased by Milton A. Jones, her husband of 66 years, with whom she was a lifelong resident of East Greenbush. She is survived by her younger sister, Sandra Lee Hussey; her children, Milton Douglas Jones and Robin Yvonne Gulay; her daughter-in-law Donnalee Jones and son-in-law Robert Roman Gulay; her grandchildren, Shelby Spencer Jones (Nicholas Goertz), Brodie David Cairns, and Rory William Cairns; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was an avid lover of all animals and a proud supporter of many animal protection causes. She also supported numerous veterans' organizations, having had many family members serve in the United States Armed Forces. Yvonne was also a steadfast believer in Christianity and its guiding principles. Above all else, she loved her entire family dearly. As one of the first employees to work at Peter Harris Clothes in East Greenbush, she
remained an indispensable employee for 47 years.

Private services will be held.
