COLONIE – Yvonne M. Luskin, 66, passed away on Holy Saturday, April 11, 2009 with her family by her side. She went to be with those that she loved and went before her.
Yvonne was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Roy Weinheimer and Virginia (Cross) Rogers. She was a lifelong resident of the Capital District and was a housewife and then worked in the printing industry, and for many years was a devoted employee of Kem Cleaners.
Yvonne was predeceased by her husband, Paul G. Luskin and her brothers, John H. and Roy B. Weinheimer. Yvonne is survived by her loving daughters, Nancy (Jeff) Kiker of North Carolina, Phoebe (Chris) Ruff of Colonie and Bettyann Bloodgood (Terry Medlin) of North Carolina. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren which she cherished so much, John N. Hart IV, Julianne Ruff and Kevin J. "K.J." Bloodgood. She will also be missed by her Snowball.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Rosewood Gardens, Samaritan Hospital, Community Hospice of Rensselaer County and the Colonie EMS Department for taking care of their mother these many years. A special thanks to Fr. James Walsh, who helped mom with her journey.
By the request of the family, services for their mother will be private. Contributions in her name may be made to the Colonie EMS Benevolent Association or to Community Hospice of Rensselaer.
