ALBANY- Yvonne "Dee" Whitney, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at her residence. Dee was born in Keene, NY and had resided in Albany for most of her life. She was employed by the New York State Office of General Services for many years. Dee was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed.
Dee is the sister of Betty Bruni-Daggett, Alma Conklin, Douglas Whitney, and Timothy DeVost Sr. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial Services on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Burial will be in the spring at Keene Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany New York 12205 in memory of Yvonne Whitney.
