Zenovia Tsamardinos entered into eternal rest on August 10, 2013 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home. Zenovia was born in Chios, Greece on February 28, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Maria and George Galli. Zenovia was educated in Greece as a nurse. She met her husband Theodore Tsamardinos there and they came to the United States together in 1966. They were married for 62 years. Zenovia devoted her life to her family, friends and her faith in God. She was a member of St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church and a past member of the Philoptocos Society. Zenovia was predeceased by her husband Theodore Tsamardinos. She was a devoted mother to Maria (William) Spears, Eftihia (Joy) (Nicholas) Toppses, Stella (Thomas) Koleci, and Dimitrios (Michele) Tsamardinos. She was the beloved grandmother of the late Anthony (Yvonne) Toppses, Father Theodore (Vicki) Toppses, Carolann Koleci, Nicole (John) Quackenbush, Vasil Koleci, Sabina (Jeb) Breece, Jane Emily Tsamardinos, and Lea Rose Tsamardinos. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, a goddaughter and many loving friends. Zenovia is survived by her sister Demetra Retos. She was predeceased by her sisters Marika Pagoulatos, Mimika Reskakis, Despina Gurguli, Eftihia Galli, and her brother Apostoli Galli. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the dedicated and loving care Zenovia received at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home and for the love and support of Niki Colydas. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on August 12th from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. The funeral will take place on August 13th, at 11 a.m. at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church, 440 Whitehall Road in Albany, followed by interment at Graceland Cemetery.
