Cheryl L.McCarthy-LoPresti, 61, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at The Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters with her loving family by her side. She was a true warrior who courageously battled pancreatic cancer for almost 4 years.

Cheryl was the daughter of the late Mildred M. and Charles T. McCarthy.

She was the devoted wife to Matthew C. LoPresti. They were together for 25 years.

She graduated from Colonie High School, Class of 1975. She attended Hudson Valley Community College, where she studied design.

She started her career opening her own kitchen design business in Boston, called Kreative Kitchens. Then moved to Albany and started, Kitchen Lady and Co.. She then went to work for Home Depot as a kitchen designer until she hung up her design hat for a successful real estate career starting her own real estate company and brokerage C MAC Realty Group. She was a member of the Albany Board of Realtors.

Cheryl was a life long communicant of St. Pius X Church.

She loved animals especially her Shih Tzu puppies, boating on the Hudson River and in Boston. She loved to laugh, travel, go out to dinner and spending time with her family and friends. She deeply loved her devoted husband and best friend Matt and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Joyce McCarthy, her half brother, Charles McCarthy Jr.

Cheryl leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Matthew C. LoPresti, her step-daughter, Sasha M. LoPresti, her brothers, Bryan, Kevin (Paula) McCarthy, her nieces and nephew, Kristin (Mike) Chupka, Bryan "Buddy" (Sarah), Holly McCarthy, her cousins, Patty (Gary) Cardamone and family, her very good friend Esther Rappold and Maryellen Egan-Boyajian. Her loving puppies Tanner, Toby and Baby and her many good friends.

Calling hours will be held at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville, NY on Friday June 29, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the calling hours at 12:00 pm at St. Pius X Church. Burial will be private.

Special thanks to Dr. Hong and the team at Mass. General Hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Zen and the Nurses at NYOH, the special nurses and nurses aids at The Community Hospice Inn, Father Walsh and the parishioners of St. Pius Church for all of their care, compassion and prayers given to Cheryl.
