Boyd D. Hotaling was brought home to live with his Savior Jesus Christ on January 13th, 2024 at the age of 76. He was born on March 12th, 1947 in Cobleskill NY. His favorite bible verse was John 15:12 “This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you”

He was married to Jennifer J. Hotaling for 17 years. They lived in Sharon Springs, NY for 18 years then moved to Richmondville in 2023.

Boyd served his country in the Army as an Army Airborne Ranger during the Vietnam war. He was an avid hunter and competed in trap shooting events. He built his own home and had a passion for woodworking, gardening and canning.

He loved to play games with his family and loved them all.

Boyd is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jennifer J. Hotaling (Larson), father and mother in law Jeffery and Mary Larson, stepchildren Matthew Larson, Whitney Fox (Larson) and 3 grandchildren, siblings Danny and Darell Hotaling, Ruth, Lee and Charron Conley, Boyd’s favorite uncle Denver and Aunt Alice Lee and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parent’s Walter B. Hotaling and Charlene Lee, brother Walter R. Hotaling and mother in law Nancy A. Larson.

Boyd’s last words to remember are John 3:16 KJV, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life”

A service will be held on Saturday February 3rd at 2pm at the Calvary Chapel of the Hills, 137 Legion Drive Cobleskill NY
